Comment cards returned to the Transportation Corridor Agencies are 15-to-1 in favor of the 241 completion.
IRVINE, Calif. (August 20, 2008) – A strong majority of South Orange County residents who received a recent Transportation Corridor Agencies mailer about the final segment of the 241 Toll Road favor the roadway project. Of 68,000 cards mailed, 1,542 were returned expressing support for the project and 168 indicated opposition. [more]

Sam Elters oversaw construction and improvements to Arizona state highway system.

IRVINE, Calif. (July 8, 2008) – Sam Elters has joined the Transportation Corridor Agencies as the toll road agencies’ new chief engineer. Elters previously served as the State Engineer for the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), where he was responsible for all construction and improvements on the state highway system. SAN JOAQUIN HILLS BOARD OF DIRECTORS APPROVES FY2009 BUDGET
Board votes to implement 25 cent toll increases at toll plaza and some ramps.
IRVINE, Calif. (June 26, 2008) – The Board of the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor Agencies today approved a Fiscal Year 2009 budget totaling $139.5 million, of which 80%, or $112 million, will be used for debt service and debt expenses on the Agency’s bonds. [more]

San Joaquin Board requests additional analysis of toll rates.
IRVINE, Calif. (June 12, 2008) – The Board of the Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agencies today approved a Fiscal Year 2009 budget totaling $284.9 million, of which 55.8%, or $159.1 million, will be used for debt service and debt expenses on the Agency’s bonds. [more]

SURVEY SHOWS DRIVERS CHOOSE THE TOLL ROADS TO SAVE GAS, TIME
Rising fuel costs and desire to save time cited as reasons Southern Californians drive the Toll Roads

(May 8, 2008) – The California Department of Fish and Game has issued a Streambed Alteration Agreement for the 241 Toll Road, finalizing 63 measures the Transportation Corridor Agencies committed to implement to protect fish and wildlife resources during construction and operation of the roadway. Smart Mobility, Inc. prepared engineering report on 241 project

IRVINE, Calif. (January 23, 2008) - The Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency today filed a complaint against Smart Mobility, Inc. with the Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Opponents of the 241 completion project have relied on reports prepared by Smart Mobility; however, the company's engineers are unlicensed in California and are violating California law by practicing civil and traffic engineering without legal authorization.
